YOUNG PEOPLE’S CHORUS @ THURNAUER SCHOOL OF MUSIC

This years concert is not to be missed! It’s a fun winter festival of familiar songs. Choristers will sing a variety of works from Hebrew songs such as Bashana Haba’ah to their signature song, Give us Hope.

The choristers come from all over the New York and New Jersey area to sing unique and challenging choral music. The kids range in age from 6-17 years old. For information on auditioning for The Young People’s Chorus at Thurnauer call 201.408.1465 or email ebrondolo@jccotp.org

Emma Brondolo, Artistic Director of The Young People’s Chorus @ Thurnauer says, “The singers look forward to this concert every year. It’s a perfect opportunity for them to perform in front of a large crowd.” She adds, “The song list is a mix of old and new. The kids have a lot of fun and seeing the audience sing along is amazingly upbeat.” She continues, “It’s exciting to see these three choruses unite in song.”

The JCC Thurnauer School of Music is one of the metropolitan area’s leading community music schools. Serving nearly 450 students from infancy through adulthood, it offers a comprehensive program similar to the finest pre-college conservatories. Thurnauer accepts all who wish to attend; there are no auditions. Thurnauer students have performed in Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Sesame Street, and with renowned artists including Wynton Marsalis, Joshua Bell, Pinchas Zukerman, Paquito d’Riviera and Itzhak.

The JCC Thurnauer School of Music is a member of the National Guild for Community Arts Education and received an award for “excellence and high standards” from The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center.
