HAIRSPRAY! features 34 kids from local towns. The cast includes Quinn Surdez from Aberdeen, Amber Smith of Bloomfield, Alaysia Coffield, Ramel Coleman, Alneesha Harris, Tasneem Nathari, Quamir Payton, Crisanyelis Rodriguez and Breana Wright-Hall from East Orange, Divya Khanna from Edison, Nell Marootian from Essex Fells, Elizabeth Short from Fords, Lilly Balsassare, Maddy Broderick and Aleah Colon-Alfonso from Glen Ridge, Rachel Spillane and Dennis Oliveira from Kearny, Kerriann Ring from Matawan, Brooke Nagel from Morris Plains, Katie Wells from Mountainside, Andy Viviano fron New York City, Moyo Odulaja and Bria Pender from Newark, Kaitlyn Giordano from North Arlington, Samantha LaPare from North Caldwell, Haley Grimes from Pompton Plains, Natalie Aris, Caroline Casey and Eleanor Konrad from Short Hills, Maggie Buckley from Summit, Dean Schansinger from Upper Montclair, Marisa Bednick from Wayne, and Tylet Lynch from West Orange.

Founded in 2004, the New Jersey School of Dramatic Arts (www.njactors.org) in Bloomfield, NJ has provided comprehensive professional acting training for adults, teens and children. More than 1,200 students, some of whom have gone on to pursue professional acting careers, have taken classes at the school since it opened its doors eight years ago.
