CENTENARY STAGE SETS AUDITIONS FOR WINTER COMEDY

THE LIAR

directed by Carl Wallnau, CSC Artistic Director

WHEN: Wednesday, Jan. 22, 10:30 AM to 7:30 PM. While appointments are being scheduled, attempts will be made to see all auditionees.

The production will run Feb. 21 –March 9, with rehearsals beginning February 4.   CSC operates under a SPT contract, with both Equity and Non-Equity performers.

The following roles are available:

  • DORANTE  ….. A young man just arrived in Paris who is a teller of tall tales (He lies, a lot)
  • GERONTE …… Late 40’s to 60’s (Dorante’s father)
  • CLITON ……… 20’s-40’s Dorante’s servant, incapable of telling a lie
  • CLARICE ……… 20’s A beautiful young lady of Paris
  • LUCRECE ……... 20’s Yes, she’s beautiful, too, and Clarice’s best friend
  • ALCIPPE ………. 20’s-30’s Clarice’s secret fiancĂ©
  • PHILLISTE ……. 20’s-30’s Alcippe’s friend
  • ISABELLE/SABINE …… 20’s-30’s Played by same actress. One puritanical, one not

ALL PARTS NEED TO BE GOOD AT FARCE
Actors may read from the script or perform a comic monologue.

Also seeking EQUITY STAGE MANAGER.
