Meet Lisa Daltirus | Aida

With a “radiant voice of beauty, power, nuance, and musicality, as well as a dramatic stage presence”, soprano Lisa Daltirus has made Aida a signature role with performances at some of the world's top opera houses. Noted recent engagements include the title roles of Tosca and Aida for the Seattle Opera; Aida for the Portland Opera, Opera Company of Philadelphia and Cincinnati Opera; Tosca for Palm Beach Opera, Minnesota Opera, Michigan Opera Theatre, Boston Lyric Opera, and Arizona Opera and Bess in Porgy and Bess at the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Michigan Opera Theatre, and on tour in London, Edinburgh and Cardiff with the Cape Town Opera. Lisa was born and raised in Plainfield, NJ, and is a graduate of Westminster Choir College.

 

Meet Allan Glassman | Radames

A regular at the NY Metropolitan Opera, tenor Allan Glassman has thrilled audiences throughout America and Europe with his vibrant timbre and committed interpretations of roles. Mr. Glassman triumphed at the NY Metropolitan Opera as Herod in a new production of Salome starring Karita Mattila in 2004, and has been heard regularly in MET productions ever since. In 2012 he thrilled MET audiences as Red Whiskers in Billy Budd. In the past few seasons he has also performed lead roles with Opera Company of Philadelphia , Arizona Opera, Palm Beach Opera, Dallas Opera, Des Moines Metro Opera to name but a few.

 

Meet Louis Otey | Amonasro, King of Ethiopia

LOUIS OTEY is a Metropolitan Opera baritone with outstanding artistry that has won him universal recognition as a major stage personality noted for his incisive interpretations. He made his Metropolitan Opera debut as Mr. Astley in Prokofiev’s The Gambler and his European debut as the title role in Eugene Onegin in Basel. In addition to regular engagements at the MET and NY City Opera, Mr. Otey has performed countless leading roles in prestigious opera companies and theatres worldwide. The New York Times described him as “ardent and moving” with a baritone that “blooms. ” Mr Otey hails form Flandreau, South Dakota and studied at the Houston Grand Opera.

 

Meet Jennifer Roderer | Amneris

Singing Amneris is mezzo-soprano Jennifer Roderer who recently thrilled Syracuse Opera audiences with her roles as Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd and Marcellina in Le Nozze di Figaro. Since her debut at New York City Opera, Ms Roderer has appeared in lead roles with major opera companies throughout the United States including Chautauqua Opera, Roanoke, Lyric Opera of Kansas City, Indianapolis Opera, Utah Opera, as well as performing regularly with New York City Opera, including NYCO’s first tour of Japan. Born in Illinois and raised in Los Angeles, she holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Southern California.

 

Meet Erik Kroncke | Ramfis

Since his debut in 2000, Erik Kroncke’s unique bass voice has been in demand by opera companies and orchestras all over the world. He has been heard in such varied repertoire as Sarastro in Die Zauberflöte, Gremin in Eugene Onegin, Ramphis in Aida, Commendatore in Don Giovanni, and Philip and the Grand Inquisitor in Don Carlos. He has recently appeared Sarasota Opera, Opera San José, Chautauqua Opera, Green Mountain Opera, Austin Lyric Opera, Opera Fort Collins, Opera Colorado, Opera Theater of the Rockies, Delaware Valley Opera, Lyric Opera Virginia, and Opera in the Heights.

 

Meet Brian Jauhiainen | King Of Egypt

American bass Brian Jauhiainen has performed in leading theaters in Europe and throughout the United States. Mr. Jauhiainen’s recent engagements have included the Commendatore in Don Giovanni with Portland Opera and Hawaii Opera Theatre; Abimelech in Samson et Dalila with Florida Grand Opera; Il Re in Aida and Sparafucile in Rigoletto with Orlando Opera; and Timur in Turandot with Opera Hong Kong. A native of Minnesota, Mr. Jauhiainen studied at the Young Artists Program at the Deutsche Oper Berlin and at Juilliard's American Opera Center.
