Hamilton Stage Celebrates Its 1st Anniversary with a Full Week of Exciting, Eclectic Entertainment!

UCPAC's Hamilton Stage opened its doors last September to a huge gala befitting the premiere of a stellar performing arts venue.

We're back with Season Two, and we hope you can join us again ... this time for a Full Anniversary Week of Music, Dance, Theatre, Visual Arts, Spoken Word and More (a portable circus, to be precise!).

  • Fri. Sept. 20, 8:00 PM:  Willie Nile Band,  $25
  • Sat. Sept. 21, 8:00 PM:  Raconteurs & Roustabouts, $20
  • Sun. Sept. 22, 3:00-6:00 PM:  Latin Dance & Music Fiesta,  $15
  • Wed. Sept. 25, 8:00 PM:  Opening Night - American Theater Group presents Character Man, $30, $35.

Sept. 20:  Willie Nile Band. Split Level Concerts brings hard-rocking Willie back to Hamilton Stage with a smashing new album, American Ride, and an all-star Band including opener Bobby Mahoney - plus Many Opening Night Surprises including (but not limited to) classic cars and motorbikes and bagpipes. (did we say 'bagpipes'? Sure enough, come prepared for Epic Musical Fun!)

Sept. 21:  Raconteurs & Rousatabouts. A one-of-a-kind variety show that puts acclaimed writers together with celebrated musicians, award-winning film shorts and astonishing side show acts. Prairie Home Companion by way of David Lynch, NPR chilling at Coney Island. Simply put, a night you will never forget!

Featuring: authors Arthur Phillips, Lev Grossman, Clay McLeod Chapman and E.D. Hudspeth with musical guests Arlan Feiles and Wesley Stace (formerly known as John Wesley Harding). And The Amazing Traveling Circus Side Show. Plus a surprising film short.

Sept. 22:  Latin Dance & Music Fiesta. A lively afternoon of international fun for all ages.

3:00 PM - Amy Garcia Phillips of Contento Dance offers free salsa and merengue dance lessons. Grab a partner or step onto the floor yourself, Amy will have you swinging!

4:00 PM - Special Appearance by American Repertory Ballet!! ... see a sneak preview of their Oct. 18-19 Hamilton Stage "American Artist Showcase" show (see ticket banner below).

4:30-6:00 PM - Dave Braham Latin Jazz Quartet - a sizzling combo laying down red-hot Latin beats for your fiesta pleasure.

Amy Garcia Phillips has appeared on Late Night with David Letterman, Good Morning America, Lincoln Center's MidSummers Night Swing and won several Latin and ballroom dance awards. Piano/organ wizard Dave Braham has played as a featured sideman with jazz greats Houston Person, Etta Jones, Willis Gatortail Jackson, Ernestine Anderson, David Fathead Newman and more. Joining Dave is a standout ensemble of Al Acosta (sax/flute), Santi Debriano (bass), Willie Martinez (congas), Diego Lopez (drums).

Character Man starring Jim Brochu at UC PAC's Hamilton Stage 9/25-10/8.Sept. 25:  Opening Night for Character Man. A powerful 1-man tribute to the Giants of American Musical Theatre starring Jim Brochu (of last year's sensational Zero Hour) with numbers from Chicago, Wicked, Cabaret, Fiddler on the Roof, Music Man, Hello Dolly, Peter Pan and more.
