LM1Japanese artist Lapid Matsuo visited Israel in 1971 to learn more about the birthplace of the Torah. He fell in love with the land and the Israeli people. Ever since, he has been painting the landscape and the architecture of Israel. In the past 41 years, Matsuo has returned to Israel over 40 times to seek inspiration from the land. Currently residing by the famous Japanese landmark Mt. Fuji, he continues to paint memorable scenery of Israel, as well as Mt. Fuji.

LM1Born in 1941 in Fukuoka, Japan, Matsuo exhibited his work in Jerusalem, Paris and in most major cities in Japan and won numerous awards. This is his first exhibit in US, which will be hosted by his daughter, Maya Suzuki and extended family.

Gallery hours are Monday –Thursday, 9 AM – 10 PM; Friday and Sunday, 9 AM – 4 PM; closed Saturday and Jewish holidays.
