Sponsored by the Knowlton Township Historic Commission, the afternoon’s activities invite visitors to the Ramsaysburg Homestead, a national historic site located along the Delaware River in Warren County’s scenic countryside. The event will include seasonal music featuring Knowlton Township Elementary School students, a wreath-making demonstration, festive caroling, a tree lighting ceremony, ornament making and a Christmas shop.

  • Visitors will be treated to Dennis Melillo leading a musical rendition of “The Twelve Days of Christmas” and Donna Kizonak on piano.
  • Children will have an opportunity to create “green” ornaments with native pine cones and seeds, providing winter sustenance for native birds.
  • A wassail bowl, cookies and seasonal refreshments will be served at the homestead.
  • Knowlton’s own Triple Creek Christmas Tree Farm is donating a beautiful fresh-cut Blue Spruce for the tree-lighting ceremony.
  • The farm will create an on-site holiday display, featuring a naturally-decorated Christmas tree, along with wreaths and memorial blankets available for orders.
  • Visitors will have the opportunity to cut their own conifer at the nearby farm located on Frog Pond Road.
  • A special FUNDRAISER RAFFLE will be held to win a Holiday Gift Basket from Brook Hollow Winery.

WHERE: The Ramsaysburg Homestead Historic Site is located at the junction of State Highway Route 46 and Hope-Ramsaysburg Road, just south of the historic village of Delaware, New Jersey 07833. From Route 80 take Exit 4.
