There was no assurance about anything. The one thing we did know is that it was time to make a change in the playing of our music.” South Orange-based Bassist John Lee (above) spent eight years with the Dizzy Gillespie quintet and big band and helped create the Dizzy Gillespie Alumni All-Stars. In this 90-minute concert, Lee and Trumpeter Greg Gisbert and Guitarist Yotam Silberstein will play music associated with Gillespie.
