WHEN: Tuesday, September 6, and Thursday, September 8, at 7:30 PM (with callbacks on Saturday, September 10, from 1 – 4:00 PM)
WHERE: Burgdorff Center For The Performing Arts, 10 Durand Rd, Maplewood, NJ 07040 (map) NJ Transit train station is right across the street.
Seeking a multi-racial cast of strong singer/actors for 3 male leads, 3 female leads, a large singing ensemble and 6-8 strong male & female dancers (ballroom a plus).
Come prepared to sing (bring sheet music in your key; accompanist provided), read from sides and move.
Performances are Nov 4, 5, 11, 12, 18 & 19 at 8:00 PM and 6 & 13 at 2:00 PM.
CAST:
- Lawrence Jameson [Late 40s to 60s]: sophisticated and smooth con artiste operating on the French Riviera whose been in the game for a long time and lives a comfortable life.
- Freddy Benson [30+]: crude, small-time American grifter mooching his way across Europe who talks Lawrence into teaching him how to refine his technique.
- Christine Colgate [25+]: wide-eyed, innocent tourist who won a soap contest - or so she says.
- Andre Thibault [40+]: French Chief of Police in Beaumont sur Mer and in cahoots with Lawrence.
- Muriel Eubanks [40+]: Wealthy American tourist very willing to help a prince in need - until she dances with Andre.
- Jolene Oakes [30+]: an Oklahoma oil heiress who sets her sights on Lawrence until she finds out about his "brother" with weak DNA. (She is also part of the ensemble when not Jolene).
- LARGE SINGING ENSEMBLE with several featured parts.
- 6-8 STRONG MALE & FEMALE DANCER/SINGERS (ballroom a plus) there is LOTS of dancing in this show
