Out in the hinterlands of Somerset County, Raritan Valley Community College Arts present top-notch entertainment that’s worth a ride. Here is their 2011-2012 season.

With insight, wit and compassion, Kathy and Mo bring a feminist perspective to a variety of male and female characters of all ages in this review of their best work.

SOUTHERN VOICES
American Place Theatre

Their first multi-book presentation, actors will portray: William Faulkner’s As I Lay Dying; Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston; and Harper Lee’s To Kill A Mockingbird. (NOTE: This would be a great show for teens.)

MUFARO’S BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTERS
Dallas Children’s Theatre

Mufaro’s daughters travel through a jungle and across a river to meet the king, who desires a wife. Along the way the girls encounter a number of situations that test them.
