Folk Rock artist Carmen Sclafani and his band Wiser Time will be promoting their new album Beggars and Thieves

“It’s a celebration. A coming of age of sorts,” explains Carmen Sclafani about Wiser Time’s latest release. “It’s the first album that I’ve done where I truly feel at ease with myself in the studio and with a band.” The sound of “Beggars and Thieves” is a stripped down, rootsy account of the places Wiser Time has been, and told in such a way that would be better suited from some back porch with some close friends. The sound of America’s
roots.

At The Barron Arts Center performance, Sclafani & Wiser Time will tell these “stories from the road.” “These are . . . deeply personal moments,” says Sclafani about the nine tracks that are Beggars and Theives. “I think the songs are gonna make people feel like they’re sitting right there next to me or the band in the car or motel.”

This concert is part of the Exit 11: NJ Arts Interactive Concert Series and is sponsored by The Woodbridge Township Cultural Arts Commission with the support of Mayor John McCormac. Funding has been made possible in part by The Middlesex County Cultural and Heritage Commission through a grant provided by The New Jersey State Council on the Arts / Department of State; a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.
