AUDITIONS FOR 17th ANNUAL JERSEY VOICES ONE-ACT FESTIVAL

 

CCP Script LogoThe Chatham Community Players will hold open auditions for

17th annual Jersey Voices One-Act Festival

WHEN: Sunday, May 22, and Monday, May 23, at 7:00 PM.
WHERE:
Chatham Playhouse, 23 North Passaic Ave., Chatham

Performances on July 28, 29, 30 and August 4, 5 and 6. Jersey Voices has provided a venue for New Jersey playwrights to showcase their work since 1995.

They are looking for men and women, ages 16 to 60, to fill roles for five one-act plays and one original dance piece. Actors will read from sides available at the auditions. Dancers must come prepared to learn a dance piece.

Presented Pieces are:

  • Dance of the Ahtu by Desireé Caro - Lenape Indian Modern Tribal Dance. Need: 4 men, 4 women dancers - age 16+ to middle age. Directed & Choreographed by Desireé Caro
  • Cold Calling by Thomas Tunnington - A salesman extraordinaire meets his match in a curious little girl. Need: one Male late 30’s – 50’s. Directed by Joann Scanlon
    Canaan Wedding by John Dowgin - How different would a Biblical story look like if it was written today? Need: 6 men who are 30 something to 40-50's, two women who are late teen & one middle aged to 40's - 50's. Directed by Jon DeAngelis
  • Forsaking All Others by G.A. Perrie - What happens when the family of the Bride and the family of the Groom meet? Need: three middle aged women - one 60-something man, one middle aged man. Directed by Loretta Napolitano
  • Whatever and Delicately by Pia Wilson - It's never wise to make snap judgments. Need: two women: one Latin American actress, one 30 something. Directed by Beth Amiano Gleason
  • Mr. X by Susan Barsky Need: three men any age. Directed by Arnold Buchiane.

The Chatham Players have an open call casting policy. ALL roles are open, none are precast and everyone is encouraged to audition.
