Open Auditions for Red Bank StreetLife

WHEN: Tuesday, March 29, from 6 – 8 PM
WHERE:
the Count Basie Theatre Rehearsal Studio, 99 Monmouth Street - 2nd Floor, Red Bank
For more information, please visit www.redbankrivercenter.org.

For the eleventh year in a row, Red Bank’s summer music and performing arts series, StreetLife, will return to the sidewalks of Red Bank. For the 2011 series, RiverCenter is inviting talented adults and teenagers (16 years and older) to audition for this summer’s program. RiverCenter is seeking musicians and entertainers, such as mimes, clowns, magicians, jugglers, etc. to participate in the program.

Each performer is asked to bring 3-to-4 minutes of prepared material highlighting his or her skills, a biography and references, if available.

Please note: past StreetLife performers do not need to re-audition. If you are interested in performing again, please contact RiverCenter for a StreetLife Returning Performer application. Dates are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

Artists will be selected by representatives from RiverCenter, Red Bank Visitors’ Center, Monmouth County Arts Council and the Count Basie Theatre.

StreetLife supports local artists while showing off Red Bank’s status as the cultural heart of the Monmouth County area. Introduced in 2001 by Red Bank RiverCenter, StreetLife officially begins June 4 and continues every Saturday night through August 27. This year, RiverCenter is working to bring StreetLife performances all over the business district.

Current StreetLife sponsors include Monmouth County Arts Council, the Count Basie Theatre and Funk and Standard Variety Store located at 40 Broad Street, Red Bank.

Red Bank RiverCenter is a self-funded, not-for-profit alliance of businesses, property owners, and residents working toward the economic vitality of the Red Bank Business District.
