Appearing in period dress and performing on guitar, banjo, tin whistle, zither and concertina, Marianne and Tom Tucker will present Music and Stories of the Civil War that is part of the Farmstead Arts First Sunday Concert Series. The duo will sing songs and tell stories that reflect on life during the war in the 1860’s.

LeBoeuf will talk about the little-known role of women as “undercover” soldiers in the war. Attendees are invited to bring their memorabilia from the Civil War to talk about with LeBoeuf and the other attendees.

LeDell, of Basking Ridge, is a well-known music teacher, author, painter and musician. PYSANKY EGG WORKSHOP
Learn the ancient art of Pysanky (Wax Resist on Egg)

Learn the ancient art of Pysanky, and create a Ukrainian Easter egg using a wax-resist method. Participants will get a hands-on experience using the unique techniques needed to create these colorful masterpieces. Preregistration is required, and reservations must be made by March 31

ART:

  • Watercolor classes begin the last week in April. 6 sessions. Saturdays 10 AM–noon; taught by Basking Ridge artist Frank Pietrucha.
