STUFF TO DO AT THE WEST ORANGE PUBLIC LIBRARY, SEPTEMBER 19–25

A reminder that great FREE things happen at your public library. Here are the events at the West Orange Public Library for the week of September 19. Check out your own library’s website (usually ends in .org) for programs they offer. Your tax dollars fund these programs; take advantage of them to get your money’s worth!

It's TV Turnoff Week!
September 19-25

TV Turnoff Week is a nationwide event which challenges people to look at the role TV plays in their daily lives. People often use TV as  entertainer, pacifier, babysitter, time filler and background noise. The West Orange Public Library is offering free events for all ages during TV Turnoff Week. So, turn off that TV and head to the Library!

Drop-In Bilingual Storytimes
September 20, September 27 and October 4, at 4 PM
Drop in for a bilingual (Spanish-English) storytime with our Children's Librarian.

Family Board Game Night, Monday, September 20, 7–8:30 PM

Drop-in Craft, Tuesday, September 21, 4–5 PM

Drop-In Family Storytime, Wednesday, September 22, 7–7:30 PM

Grandpals Storytime, Thursday, September 23 4–5 PM. (Senior citizens read to children.) 

Drop-In Craft Time, Friday, September 24, 4–5 PM

Teen Nights at the Library
Beginning Monday, Sept. 27 at 7 PM

Monday nights are Teen Nights at the Library!  Students in grades 6-12 can participate in fun activities every Monday from 7–8:30 PM.  Activities range from making sock puppets to playing Mario Kart!  During the first Teen Night, participants will create a super sugary sushi roll with rice crispy treats, swedish fish, fruit roll ups, and other sweets.  Sign up online at www.wopl.org. Advance registration is required for all programs.
