To celebrate the launch of SMTW SINGS!, a newly-established performing arts scholarship fund, South Mountain TheaterWorks proudly presents Our Time: An Evening Of Broadway Showstoppers.

Proceeds from this one-night-only benefit concert will be used to fund cash awards at a springtime competition in which area teens will perform before a panel of celebrity judges.

Open to all New Jersey high school students, the SMTW scholarship competition is intended to help offset the high cost of pursuing a career in the arts. First prize will be a $500 cash award.

This special evening begins with a wine-and-cheese reception, followed by area favorites' performing much-loved songs in an original revue.

“This new scholarship program is particularly meaningful to us,” explains SMTW General Director Ken Magos. “New Jersey audiences have really embraced our young company and our efforts to provide audiences with outstanding live entertainment. They’ve been so enthusiastic; it’s like a dream come true for us. And now through the scholarship program, we can help young artists pursue their own dreams, too.”
