Bound Brook's Brook Arts Center, originally opened as a 1927 vaudeville house (and a movie theater where I spent many a Saturday afternoon in the 1950's watching double features and throwing popcorn at my friends), has undergone a restoration after the devastating Raritan River floods of 1999 destroyed it, along with much of downtown Bound Brook.
This August, the center will feature an Open Mic Night.
