Now in its fourth year, the hottest party in town is back! The West Windsor Arts Council is hosting a gala fundraiser. Inspired by the underground creative spirit of the prohibition era, this year’s theme is a Speakeasy Soirée.

A long list of talented community volunteers and sponsors come together to produce the event. “There seems to be a feeling of connection to roaring 1920’s theme and the speakeasy socials that defined American community at the time” said executive director, Aylin Green. “Our team has embraced this event and we are thrilled to have this community’s enthusiastic support for the arts.” Along with a long list of local corporate sponsors, the presenting sponsor of the event is Munch Re America.

Keeping with the annual tradition, the old firehouse, which his home to the West Windsor Arts Center, will make an ultimate transformation for the night. Guests will enter from the back and into the artistic atmosphere of a jazzy nightclub with live music, fine food and spirits by Americana Diner, original art live auction, exclusive silent auction, games of chance and more. Proceeds from the event will benefit arts education and multidisciplinary arts programing for the community.

Entertainment: Local New Jersey musician Darryl Yokley (www.darrylyokely.com) and Sound Reformation is headlining the Speakeasy Soirée performing favorites from the Jazz Age including Duke Ellington, Count Basie and more. An accomplished saxophonist, composer and writer, Yokely has toured with Motown legends. The Sound Formation is about to release its second album in 2017.

Master of Ceremonies Dwayne Dunlev is known for 20+ years for his cabaret-style performances and comedy.
