From a modern take on a children’s tale, to a contemporary dance rendition of a beloved novel, to a one-woman show focusing on a life-changing journey – The Theatre at Raritan Valley Community College in Branchburg has plenty to entertain and inspire audiences in November. The Theatre has slated the following performances:

C.S. Lewis’ beloved novel comes to life through dance. In this classic story, four siblings enter the magical land of Narnia by climbing through a magic wardrobe. Ruled by the cold-hearted White Witch, this wondrous place features all of your favorite characters – the heroine Lucy and her brother Edmund, Tumnus, Beavers, Nymphs, Giants and, of course, Aslan the Lion. Follow the children through the land of forever winter to see if they can break the witch’s evil spell, restore sunshine and peace to Narnia, and return the great King Aslan to his throne.

Coping with a life-altering tragedy that has left her feeling hopeless, Elizabeth comes upon a haunting photograph of Thao, a 25-year-old Vietnamese woman born with life-threatening birth defects as a result of Agent Orange. The photograph propels Elizabeth to rural Vietnam to meet a woman whose indomitable spirit inspires her to build a library. These two unlikely friends are brought together, forging a bond that eventually will change both of their lives forever.
