The play was originally produced Off-Broadway by Naked Angels in 2009 and moved to Broadway in February of 2010. New York Times columnist Ben Brantley called it an “artful, thoughtful and very moving story.” Next Fall was nominated for Best Play of 2010 by the Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and Tony Awards.

Gwen Ricks-Spencer, one of the founders of 4th Wall and the current Executive Director, of the company, directs Next Fall. Felicity Selby of Montclair is the Stage Manager and Kate Swan of Teaneck serves as the Production Manager.
Next Fall takes a witty and provocative look at faith, commitment and unconditional love. While the play's central story focuses on the five-year relationship between Adam, a confirmed atheist, and Luke, a devout Christian, it goes beyond the typical love story. Following a serious accident, Adam must reassess his views and seek support from Luke’s family and friends. Next Fall is a timely and compelling play that asks the audience to examine what it means to "believe" and what it might cost us not to.
Of Next Fall, Ricks-Spencer says “I saw this piece a couple of years ago and was immediately struck by the simplicity at the core of a story—that every relationship requires a leap of faith—and the very complex political and religious viewpoints which entangle the story.

Patrons are no longer able to park in the Bank parking lot directly across the street from the Westminster Arts Center. You may park in the Bloomfield College lot, which is located on Liberty Street. Please see the map below. The small white arrow at the bottom left is the Arts Center and the large white arrow on the upper right is the parking lot that patrons may use.
