NOSOTROS: A COMMUNITY GATHERING & SHARING OF STORIES
WHEN: Saturday, December 13, from 4-6 PM
WHERE:
Two River’s Marion Huber Theater, 21 Bridge Ave., Red Bank
Age Recommendation: Ages 10+ only

Two River’s NOSOTROS program is dedicated to connecting Two River Theater more deeply to its Latino community and neighbors. Through this project, playwright Tanya Saracho (a writer for television’s Looking and Girls) and Jerry Ruiz (director of Two River’s annual Crossing Borders festival of new Latino plays) are meeting with local individuals, community groups, schools, and advocacy organizations throughout Red Bank and Monmouth County to learn more about our community. As a result of this project, Saracho and Ruiz will create a play inspired by Monmouth County’s Latino Community, which Two River will develop.

Numerous community partners are working with Two River to support this initiative, including Dr. Ann Bagchi, Chair of the Latino Coalition Health Committee; Casa Freehold; Abraham López, Director, NJ Center for Hispanic Policy, Research and Development; Literacy Volunteers of Monmouth County; Isabel Lopez, Family Social Worker at Monmouth Day Care Center; Marisol Mondaca, Latina Girls Group, The Source; Richard Morales-Wright, Director, Equal Opportunity Fund, Brookdale College; Casa Freehold; David Prown; Luis Rodriguez, Monmouth County Latino Chamber of Commerce, and St. Anthony’s Church.
