What Happened by Lia Romeo

Jenna and Kate are best friends . . . until one drunken night, Kate ends up in the bathroom with Derek, the guy Jenna has a crush on. Afterwards, Kate says she was raped, while Derek claims it was consensual. What Happened examines the blurred lines and unclear boundaries that come with being a teenager . . . or just with being a human being.

And Then They Fell by Tira Palmquist

Growing up without one parent is hard enough, but having to live without either can really take it’s toll. All Jordan has is her mother’s “sort of” boyfriend to “take care of her,” while her friend Cal doesn’t have anyone at all. On their journey we see that it’s amazing the places you can go when you can’t just go home.

Light in the Darkness Burning by Matt Bukovac

As a daughter struggles to cope with the sins of her father, she goes on a journey to find out exactly what he is accused of. One she does, everything changes and just having her father’s love isn’t enough anymore; in her attempts to find the truth, can she truly be set free?

The House That Jack Built by Suzanne Bradbeer

Atop a roof in New York City we see the lives of two young brothers and their mother play out over the years between the two world wars. As the story progresses we see what each brother must give up for his family, and how each member of the family deals with the loss of their father and husband.

A Bedroom in Paris by Judah Skoff

A Bedroom In Paris is a short play about a marriage falling apart, and where the pieces fall to. Simon leaves to go console his cousin Isobel who has just lost her husband, but their relationship is very unclear and perhaps something more than just “family.”
