VOLUNTEER MUSICIANS WANTED BY THE METROPOLITAN ORCHESTRA OF NJ

The Metropolitan Orchestra of NJ, a Millburn/Short Hills-based full symphonic community orchestra under the direction of conductor Michael Stratechuk and comprised mainly of local volunteer musicians, welcomes talented area residents to join them as they begin their 42nd season.

The orchestra performs three concerts per year (fall, winter and spring) featuring talented guest artists and some of the most popular and beautiful orchestral selections from major composers.

There are openings for qualified string and brass players.

ADMISSION: Suggested tax-deductible donation: $15.00

The program will include Tchaikovsky: Swan Lake Suite Op.20; Borodin: In the Steppes of Central Asia; Rimsky Korsakov: Scheherazade Symphonic Suite, Op. 35 featuring concertmaster, Michael Avagliano.

The winter concert will be on Sunday afternoon, March 16, and the spring concert will be Saturday evening, June 7 at 7:00 PM.
