AWARD-WINNING MORRIS COUNTY ARTIST TO EXHIBIT AT COUNTY LIBRARY

Main downstairs galler,y Morris County Library, 30 East Hanover Road, Whippany

Library hours are Monday-Thursday 9 to 9,  Friday and Saturday 9 to 5.  The Library is closed on Sunday.

Lorraine Robertson is an award-winning artist who paints mainly in oil but also in watercolor, pastel and acrylic. Her works hang in numerous private and corporate collections. She has recently been accepted into the Society of Oil Painters of America. 

Grandmas's Eyeglasses (newest)Lorraine is a member of a number of Art Associations, namely the Livingston Arts Association, the Center for Contemporary Art, the Visual Arts Center of Summit, the Art Association of Roxbury, the Southern Atelier Center of Fine Art, the Art Center at Sarasota and the Art Center Manatee. 

She has studied at the Woodstock School of Art, The Southern Atelier of Fine Art, and also privately with several renowned locally and nationally known teachers. 

Landscape Three BarnsHer works have appeared in a number of juried shows at the Center for Contemporary Art, the Tewksbury Historical Society, the Art Center of Sarasota, the Art Center Manatee of Bradenton, Florida, and the Windsor Invitational at Lakewood Ranch, Florida. In recent years, she has had solo shows at the Chester Library, the Morris County library, the Dillon Library at Bedminster and Morristown Memorial Hospital. 

A number of people have commented on the fact that she seems to paint all subjects; figures, nudes, still life, seascapes, cityscapes, florals and landscapes.She says,” that is because I see beauty everywhere and want to capture it on canvas. The best part is sharing my excitement and enthusiasm for that beauty with those that view my art”.
