Hope After Sandy: An Art Benefit

WHEN: May 18, 11 AM – 4 PM
WHERE:
St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 140 South Finley Avenue,
Basking Ridge

On Charter Day, May 18th, Wee Little Arts and St. Mark's Episcopal Church are putting on "Hope After Sandy: an art benefit."

The proceeds from the event will go to the Center for Community Renewal in Keansburg, NJ, a charity that is directly helping those most effected by Hurricane Sandy in storm ravaged Keansburg. The Center for Community Renewal provides breakfast and lunch seven days a week, has social workers on site to help those with mental health needs, they have an extensive food pantry, and they provide a sense of community to people who are still reeling from Sandy's effects.

The benefit is seeking artists to provide a piece, or several pieces, to be included in the show. All visual art media will be considered for the show by a jury.

Art may either be fully donated, and if sold 100% of the sale will go to the charity. Or an artist can designate a 40% commission to the Center for Community Renewal.

Artists are sought to submit 2D and 3D artwork for sale at the event. Please see attached flyer and link below for more information.

This is a downtown Basking Ridge location sure to entice artists of every level from emerging to established. The gallery quality white walls of Parish Hall can only be upstaged by the popularity of Charter Day!

To be considered for the show, a picture of the art and a written description must be submitted no later than May 1st.
