- Concerto for 2 pianos in C
- Concerto for 2 pianos in C minor, all by Johann Sebastian Bach;
- Concerto for Flute and Bassoon, by Georg Philipp Telemann
- Sinfonia, by Carl Philipp Bach
The pianists will be appearing with The Baroque Orchestra of New Jersey, under the direction of Dr. Robert W. Butts, conductor, and recent recipient of The American Prize for excellence in operatic conducting. Soloists for the Telemann composition are Andrew Pecota, principal bassoon and Margaret Walker, flute, both members of the Orchestra.
Critics have been exuberant in their praise of the Long Duo. “This is duo pianism of a high level indeed…” said New York Concert Review. “…with their barnstorming technique…the Taiwan natives allowed every piece they played to speak for itself.” —The Washington Post.
The sisters are the winners of First Prize and Best Performance of American Music Award in the Ellis Duo Competition, sponsored by the National Federation of Music Clubs (1997). As a sought-after North American duo, the Long sisters have performed extensively in North America and Asia. Among the prestigious venues where they have appeared are Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center; Weill Recital Hall, Carnegie Hall; Phillips Gallery, Washington, DC; Spoleto Festival, Charleston, SC; Dallas Museum of Art, Dallas, TX; and National Music Theater, Taipei, Taiwan.
The duo prides itself on presenting innovative programming that brings audiences new perspectives of classical piano music, and modern music by contemporary composers.
