WHEN: Wed., February 20, at 7 PM at the Showroom Cinema on Cookman Ave., in Asbury Park Past present and future mix in this eloquent, intense and surprisingly humorous portrait of documentary filmmaker David Fisher and his siblings, as they retrace the footsteps of their late father-a Holocaust survivor who was interned in Gusen and Gunskirchen, Austria. David's journey takes him to the U.S., where he meets American WWII veterans who participated in the liberation of his father and Gunskirchen camp. This sparks a remarkable journey to Austria by the Fisher siblings. They joke, kibitz and quarrel, and remind us that history and memory require active discussion among the later generations. Guest Star Vocalists Joining Art and Carl Topilow: Gary Mauer Gary most recently starred in the Broadway production of The Phantom of the Opera, playing the Phantom. Credits also include Les Miserables. He has sung "All I Ask of You"on ABC's "LIVE with Regis... and "The View" as well as NBC's "The TodayShow." As part of the "Bravo Broadway!" concert series, Mr. Mauer has sung with numerous symphonies across the country and travelled extensively with the late Marvin Hamlisch. Elizabeth Southard Elizabeth has worked on Broadway and in National tours. Beth starred on Broadway as Christine in Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera, a role she also performed in the National tour along side her husband, Gary Mauer. She was chosen by Harold Prince to star as Magnolia in his latest revival of Showboat in the First National Tour. |
