CONCERT CELEBRATES MUSIC OF THE BAROQUE PERIOD

The All Seasons Chamber Players will use its beautiful 2-manual Flemish harpsichord in combination with flute and strings for a celebration of music from the Baroque period.

The program will include Corelli’s Sonata da Camera in D Major; Maria Anna
Martinez’s Sonata da Cimbalo in G Major for flute & continua; two works for cello and harpsichord by Tartini and Frescobaldi; and Telemann’s Parisian Quartet in G Minor. Robert Lawrence, Program Director, will introduce each selection to the audience with personal spoken program notes.

All Seasons performers are professional musicians who also perform with major area orchestras, Broadway shows and summer music festivals. They include flutist Brenda Sakofsky of New City, NY; violinist Robert Lawrence of New York City; cellist E. Zoe Hassman of New York City; harpsichordist Jean Strickholm of Demarest; and harpsichordist Ron Levy of Teaneck.

Now in its 32nd season, the All Seasons Chamber Players has performed over 670 concerts throughout the metropolitan area and has been a regular attraction at the Barron Arts Center since 1990. “We are thrilled to return to the Barron Arts Center with its appreciative and friendly audience,” states Jean Strickholm, Co-Director of the ensemble. The ensemble has been heard on Woodbridge Township Television each year, Cablevision’s MetroArts/13 programs and other cable TV stations in New Jersey. Winner of the Award for Artistic Excellence from the Bergen County Division of Cultural and
Historic Affairs, the ensemble has received numerous grants from public and private sources. A full schedule of its 23 concerts is listed on its web site:
