The Theater Project will present its holiday production of It’s A Wonderful Life: The Radio Play recreating the Lux Radio Theater circa 1947, where twelve actors, a musician and one extremely overworked sound technician prepare for the big broadcast of the story made famous in the Frank Capra film.

“This is our holiday card to our audience,” says Theater Project artistic director Mark Spina. “Every year for the past ten years, some of our favorite actors donate their time to relive this story with our patrons and their families.”

Adapted by New Jersey actress, director and playwright Liz Zazzi, “It’s A Wonderful Life: The Radio Play,” has become a holiday tradition at The Theater Project.

A professional company founded in 1994, The Theater Project joined forces with the WHAT EXIT? Theater Company in 2011 and has found a new home at the Burgdorff Center for the Performing Arts in Maplewood, NJ. An award-winning Associate Member of the New Jersey Theater Alliance, The Theater Project has been recognized by grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, the New Jersey State Council for the Arts, and the Puffin Foundation.
