Gabor Barabas will read selected poems, as well as some of his recent translations of the poetry of Miklos Radnoti, Hungary's great modern poet who was killed in the Holocaust.

Gabor’s poetry has recently appeared in various journals including California Quarterly, Iodine, Plainsongs, and Innisfree. His translations of selected poems by the Hungarian poet, Miklos Radnoti, were published in 2011 in Great River Review where his Hadrian Poetry Project also appeared in 2012. An animated film of his poem,The Spider, inspired by the work of the sculptor, Louise Bourgeois, has won awards in film festivals in the U.S.and overseas. In 2013 McFarland Press will be publishing his translation of The Collected Poems of Miklos Radnoti, as a bilingual collection of 350 poems.
