An American Story
Featuring 80 works of art that span the career of this internationally renowned artist, the exhibition underscores not only Bearden’s artistic mastery, but also his narrative and thematic explorations of his native South. The exhibition examines how the South served as a source of inspiration throughout his career.

Romare Bearden: Southern Recollections is supported, in part, by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts. Organized by The Mint Museum,Charlotte, North Carolina.
