The Chatham Community Players presents BIG BAND EVOLUTION, a 17 piece rock big band under the direction of drummer and big band visionary, Joe DeVico. This exciting and powerful evening will serve as a benefit for the 90-year-old theater group.

What will you experience? Seventeen musicians, one mind. Five saxes, four trombones, four trumpets, piano, bass, guitar and drums come together to create dynamic and exciting music. Brought together by bandleader and drummer Joe DeVico, these handpicked players are all professional musicians from the tri-state area.

Combining the classic sound of the big band era with a modern repertoire that is easily recognized by even the most casual of music listeners, Big Band Evolution has found a brand-new space in today's music scene. Playing the music of Sting, Michael Jackson, Steely Dan and Radiohead to name a few, the band puts its own spin on what is already great music by these artists. This mix is balanced with some popular Jazz and Fusion songs from the past few decades and some original material composed and arranged by the band members.
