is a haunting story about two men—an "under-the-radar" Filipino health care attendant and an American television producer—who, in a surprising way, link lives and help each other reclaim their families. Unusually intimate in its telling, The Stand-in addresses multiple themes. Among them: family loyalty and sacrifice, love, Alzheimers, health care and illegal immigration. |
