Artist and author Arona Reiner will speak to the Senior Adult Department’s retiree group (REAP) about her new book, Super Granny, which provides a sage and highly humorous story about the empowerment of the elderly. Told in simple words and delightful graphics, the novel bubbles with Jewish jokes and Yiddish humor—all aimed to give people of all ages a sense that change for the better is always possible.

Ruthann Eckstein is a professional reading group facilitator. She has served as a judge for the National Jewish Book Awards and holds a B.A. in English Literature from Barnard College, an M.A. in English from NYU Graduate School of Journalism and an M.Ed. in English from Teachers’ College, Columbia University. She will lead participants in a lively and interactive discussion.
