Damien Gray is a widely acclaimed writer and artistic director. He wrote the feature film, The Florentine (produced by Francis Ford Coppola and American Zoetrope Studios) which was based on his original play of the same name. Damien founded and served as creative director of New York's groundbreaking Workhouse Theater Company directing and curating seasons from 1990 to 1998. Internationally his work has been featured in The Edinburgh Festival, Germany, Canada, Vienna and at The Archa Theater in Prague where he directed the world premiere of Sladky Theresienstadt which garnered many European accolades was chosen to open the Bonner Bienniale in Bonn, Germany in 1998. Damien worked extensively with the Sundance Theatre Institute creating and directing performances featuring Sally Field, John Dye, Maureen McGovern, Karen Mason and Christopher Lloyd. Gray's highly conceptual and theatrical work can also be seen in his live shows for Disney California Adventure and Euro-Disney. He consults on original show development for clients including, Live Nation, Next Stage Entertainment, Universal Studios Japan and The Walt Disney Company. He writes for both stage and film.
