Paul Simon

WHEN: Sunday, November 27, 7:30 PM
WHERE:
NJPAC, One Center Street, Newark

Paul Simon, the first recipient of the Library of Congress “George Gershwin Award for Popular Song” in 2007, is one of the most treasured musical performers in American history.

For this tour, Simon's set list will draw from his iconic career and will also include tracks from So Beautiful or So What, his first new CD in five years. “It's Simon's best since Graceland," says Rolling Stone of So Beautiful or So What. "

His new music balances great poetry and pop," says National Public Radio.

Reviewing the spring leg of his U.S. tour, The Hollywood Reporter said that Simon delivers “an alternately beautiful and boisterous show, raucous and rolling all night.” The Los Angeles Times declared it a "rich, perfectly programmed concert.”Joining Simon on the road is a stellar band of musicians, including Cameroonian guitarist Vincent Nguini, guitarist-drummer Jim Oblon, pianist Mick Rossi, saxophonist-keyboardist Andrew Snitzer, bassist Bakithi Kumalo, guitarist Mark Stewart, master percussionist Jamey Haddad, and multi-instrumentalist Tony Cedras. This performance is presented at NJPAC in association with Metropolitan Talent Presents.
