The workshop is open to all levels of performers, and previous acting/comedic experience is not required to participate.
“If you are looking for someplace to escape from the stress of your life and re-connect with your sense of humor, a comedy workshop is for you,” says Reiter, who goes on to say, “Comedy workshops can help you find your own comedic voice, learn to let go and let laugh, conquer stage fright, and change your outlook, and even strengthen your immune system!”
Reiter is an alumna of the Yale School of Drama and a member of Actors' Equity Association & The Dramatists Guild. She teaches acting, directing, playwriting, and various theatre courses. Reiter wrote and performed character comedy and stand-up comedy in New York City for several years. Her comedy performances included appearances on Comedy Central, Fox Network and New York City clubs, and earned a NYC Backstage Bistro Award for Comedy Performance and a nomination for Manhattan Association of Cabarets' MAC Award. Locally, Kate Lyn also directs frequently at the Centenary Stage Company and the Black River Playhouse in Chester.
