JOIN A SPECIAL GROUP TO TELL/HEAR STORIES

Do you love to tell/listen to stories? If so, you may want to join the New Jersey Story-telling Guild:

THE NEW JERSEY STORYTELLING GUILD 
WHEN: once a month
WHERE: Vincent Building, to the right of the Union Congregational Church, 176 Cooper Ave., Upper Montclair NJ
COST: NJSG annual dues are $30 per year, which includes workshops and Story Swaps. Individual workshops $10 unless otherwise noted. Story Swaps are free.

Workshops alternate with story swaps. Times vary according to the season.

September 2011 – June 2012 schedule

September 11 – 7:30 PM Workshop
“Touch Drawing” with Linda Howe. Linda is a recognized artist and storytelling who combines storytelling, art and nature in her presentations for all ages. In this workshop we will experience a technique called Touch Drawing, an intuitive, hands-on process that can be integrated with creative storytelling. Join us for an unusual experience that will surprise you with its simplicity and positive affect.

October 9 – 7:30 PM Story Swap
Come to tell a story or to listen. We need both.

November 6 – 3 PM Workshop

December 4– 3 PM Story Swap, Holiday Party and Book Sale
Please bring three things: 1. A story or holiday anecdote to tell or your best listening ears to listen. 2. Sweets, salties or beverages to share. 3. Storytelling books, tapes, CDs, props, etc. to donate to our annual book and media sale to benefit the Guild.

January 8 – 3 PM Workshop

June 3 – 7:30  PM Story Swap and Indoor Picnic.
