FREE DANCE PERFORMANCE @ SOPAC TONIGHT!

Lydia Johnson Dance, the resident dance company at SOPAC, will perform a free performance of new and recent dances, including excerpts from both last season’s Untitled, and a new work, set to boogie-woogie and blues piano by Albert Ammons and Pete Johnson. This free performance is presented in conjunction with Celebrate South Orange.

Lydia Johnson Dance will preview excerpts from both last season’s Untitled, and a new work, set to boogie-woogie and blues piano by Albert Ammons and Pete Johnson, which premieres at The Ailey Theater in NYC on June 17, 2011.

This unique presentation includes a question and answer session with choreographer Lydia Johnson and the 14 LJD dancers. Audience members, both children and adults alike, will be invited on stage to learn a dance phrase with LJD Company members.
