Hairspray, directed by Ana C. The musical version was written by New Jersey-native Marc Shaiman with lyrics by Scott Wittman and Shaiman.

clip_image002The show is about pleasantly plump Baltimore teen Tracy Turnblad in the early 1960s. She has only one desire—to dance on the popular Corny Collins Show. When her dream comes true, Tracy is transformed from social outcast to sudden star, but she must use her new-found power to vanquish the reigning Teen Queen, win the affections of heartthrob Link Larkin and integrate a TV network.
