EXPLORE YOUR CREATIVE SIDE @ THE NEW ARTS & CRAFTS FACILITIES AT THE KAPLEN JCC ON THE PALISADES

DSC_0014If you knit, paint, draw or love to explore arts and crafts of any kind, The Sarah Gottesman Lubin Program for Creative Arts and Crafts at the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades is the place to come and explore your creative side. Located in a newly remodeled and revitalized facility space, including a completely renovated ceramics studio, the program is featuring many new classes and teachers.

For pottery lovers, there is a new ceramic class in wheel throwing and hand building, taught by a creative, award-winning artist, Beth Heim, who will teach basic techniques and share her “secrets” for creating pleasing forms, decoration and glazing.

"Clay is something so natural and basic” says Beth. “It is such a supple and versatile medium to work with and I love encouraging students to connect with the clay for a soothing, sculptural, tangible experience. To really enjoy, you just have to let go and get your hands dirty."

The class meets on Monday evenings, 7:30-10 PM, beginning February 7 and continuing through mid-June over two consecutive semesters at the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades, 411 E. Clinton Avenue, Tenafly.
