Topic: A Matter of Class: John Cotton Dana, Progressive Reform, and the Newark Museum
Speaker: Carol G. Duncan, Professor Emerita of Art History, Ramapo College of New Jersey

Friday, November 19, 4 PM
Topic: Made in Newark: Cultivating Industrial Arts & Civic Identity in the Progressive Era
Speaker: Ezra Shales, Assistant Professor, New York State College of Ceramics, Alfred University

Artistic Expression: Multi-Media

Using the Museum's collection, explore the work of artists in the Museum's collections that work in a range of media including Robert Rauschenberg, Yinka Shonibare MBE, and Aminah Brenda Lynn Robinson, who used a range of media in their creations.  Then use your own creative vision to make your own work of art.

Holiday Fun: 'Tis the Season for Tea, Tours and Gift-Making
Tour the Ballantine House decorated for the Christmas season, participate in a gift-making workshop and enjoy a special reception served with assorted holiday sweets.
