From the award-winning author of Gangs of New York, Analyze This and You Can Count on Me  comes a serious comedy full of surprising encounters and a roller coaster of power-struggles. Kenneth Lonergan’s most crowd-pleasing play yet, Lobby Hero, will be performed by the Centenary College Theatre Department in Hackettstown.

In the foyer of a middle-income Manhattan apartment building, a young security guard working the midnight to 8 AM. shift finds himself inextricably entangled in a murder investigation where two cops and two “rent-a-cops” have much to lose (and a little to gain). Nominated for the Outer Critics Circle Award, the play revolves around a murder investigation which pits brother against brother. While the emphasis is primarily on humor, there's a morality play tucked into the comedy with a few issues to think about after the laughter.

The cast of Lobby Hero includes Centenary students Jon Bodi (Sophomore, Wall, NJ) as Jeff, Jordan Wells (Senior, East Orange, NJ) as William, Casey Bauer (Sophomore, Maryland) as Dawn, and Emilio Tirri (Junior, Blairstown, NJ) as Bill.  Tanya Wheelock (Senior, Denville, NJ) is the Assistant Director, Brittany D’Alessio ( Junior, Wycoff, NJ) is the Stage Manager, with lighting design by James Russo, and Set Design by Dominick DeMatteo.
