The Morris Museum and Park Avenue Club of Florham Park celebrate Hollywood with a special evening, “Hollywood & Vine”

wendy tait wine glass Inspired by the museum’s two Hollywood-themed exhibitions, Icons of Costume: Hollywood’s Golden Era and Beyond and Bonus Features: Hollywood Posters, Props and Personalities, this evening celebrates wine and Hollywood with wine tasting, delicious food, a film and exhibition tours. The evening also features a talk and book signing by Michael Uslan, executive producer of the  Batman movies and Archie Comics author.

 

  • The evening starts in the museum’s Bickford Theatre at 5:30 PM with a screening of the movie Big Night  (1996) which is set in a restaurant on the Jersey Shore.
  • At  7:30 PM Michael Uslan will be on stage for a talk and Q&A session. Mr. Uslan is the executive producer of many films and television series, including The Dark Knight , Batman Begins, Batman, Batman Returns, and Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego?. Mr. Uslan, who was born and raised in New Jersey and lives in North Jersey, is also the author of numerous books and comics, including the recently published Archie Marries. Copies of Archie Marries will be available for sale at the museum; a book signing follows the talk.
  • From 7:30 – 9:30 PM: Wine tastings of over 30 fine wines will be available. Join Park Avenue Club Sommelier Wendy Tait for “Everything you always wanted to know about wine tasting.” Delicious hors d’oeuvres and small plates prepared by Park Avenue Club Executive Chef Arnold Kruck will be served.

Throughout the evening, visitors can tour the museum’s two new glamorous exhibitions which feature costumes, props and memorabilia from Hollywood’s Golden Era to the 21st century.

The Morris Museum, located at 6 Normandy Heights Road (at the corner of Columbia Turnpike) in Morristown, NJ, is open Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 11 AM–5 PM; Thursday, 11 AM–8 PM; and Sunday, 1–5 PM. Admission to the museum is $10 for adults and $7 for children, students and senior citizens. Admission is free for museum members and is free to the public every Thursday between 5 and 8 PM.
