West Orange Public Library Programs for week of August 9

For Adults
Crystal Lake

Crystal Lake can be truly classified as a forgotten era in West Orange history. Local historian Joseph Fagan presents a program on the once glorious past of the former amusement park and recreation area. Fagan will use vintage postcards and photos to tell the story of Crystal Lake from its beginning in the 1890s to the peak of its popularity in the 1930's and 40's. Thursday, August 12, at 7:30 PM.

Joseph Fagan's family roots go back four generations in West Orange. He has written two books on the history of West Orange and currently writes a weekly column for the West Orange Chronicle depicting various aspects of West Orange history.
