"Explore the Farm" Horse-Drawn Wagon Ride
Saturday, August 7, 10:15–11:15 AM
Enjoy an interpretive horse-drawn wagon ride while discovering theimportance of sustainable farming. Learn about the methods, equipment,crops, and enterprises of Charles Foster’s farm in the early 1900s. Meet at the back of the Visitors Center. Ride ends at the Transportation Exhibit. Pre-registration required, call 973.326.7645. General admission applies.

"Go With the Flow" Woods Walk
Sunday, August 8, 1 PM & 2 PM
Ages 5 & Up. Meet at the Farmhouse porch, and follow staff on a short walk through the nearby woods to learn about the natural water supply at Fosterfields. Stop at one of the important streams that still flows through the farm. Discover what “surprises” nature provides along the path! Wear sturdy footwear. General admission applies.

Out to the Pasture Spring!
Sunday, August 15, 1 PM & 2 PM
Charles Foster’s journal mentions several springs that once supplied his farm with water. Join staff on a short walk to learn about the Fosterfields water system and to see a spring that still exists. General admission applies.


Crafter's Corner
Saturday, August 21, 10 AM–12 noon
Grab your unfinished projects, and join our hand works circle! Bring knitting, crocheting, tatting, quilting, embroidery, latch hooking, cross stitching, etc. Meet in the air-conditioned auditorium, for conversation and tips. FREE!

Butterflies for You and Me!
Sunday, August 22, 1:00–2:30 PM
Ages 5 & Up with an adult. Use nature journaling to really “look” at these special creatures. Weather permitting. General admission applies.
